The USMMA North Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas Parents Association supports Texas Midshipmen throughout their time at Kings Point. Unlike other federal service academies, Merchant Marine Academy Midshipmen are often responsible for expenses that are not fully covered by the Academy, particularly during Sea Year. As a result, many Midshipmen and their families bear significant out-of-pocket costs for required equipment, travel, and professional necessities.
