The USMMA North Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas Parents Association supports our region's Midshipmen throughout their time at Kings Point. We provide morale boosters throughout the year, foster connections between academy families through meetings and social events and support our incoming plebe candidates and their families with a special welcome event each year.

Additionally, unlike other federal service academies, Merchant Marine Academy Midshipmen are often responsible for expenses that are not fully covered by the Academy, particularly during Sea Year. As a result, many Midshipmen and their families bear significant out-of-pocket costs for required equipment, travel, and professional necessities.
